Our Mighty Mite programs are designed for skiers aged 6 to 13 committed to ski racing and looking for the thrill of testing their skills against their peers during competition. Coaching is provided for four races, these are typically: Apple Cup, Loup Loup, Wild Katz, & April’s Answer/Small Fry. However, this may change based on weather during the season.
Race registration fees are not included in tuition. Additional races may be added, based on coaches discretion, age and the season and would require additional fees. Mighty Mites may also add-on pre-season dryland training and/or the SPAC Holiday camp.
Short Season (U8, U10, U12)
Ages 7-11
Mid December through end of February (with a break for the Holidays)
The same training focus as Full season programs with an earlier end date to your season. The short season program is best for newer athletes, younger athletes, or athletes who do other Spring sports and may not want to be at the mountain in March & April.
Full Season (U8, U10, U12)
Ages 7-11
Mid December through mid April (with a break for the Holidays)
Full Season (U14)
Ages 12-13
Mid December through mid April (with a break for the Holidays)
This unique transitional program has been developed taking into consideration the special needs of this age group. Depending on their personal interest, commitment and developmental levels, athletes in this program will have the opportunity to compete at both Mighty Mite and introductory Junior races (dependent upon USSA race restrictions for this age group.)
